Sti Test with HFT geometry - closer look at the energy loss to understand the position of the Dmetric band
This is a follow-up study to take a close look at the energy loss to understand the exact position of the Dmetric bands. Previous studies can be found here

The DeltaE is the difference in energy at the dca point assuming poin tracks.

The scaledDeltaDca vs. deltaE linear dependence is reasonable, not so clear about the slope (a bit hard to tell). But the overal energy loss due to the PXL material seems to be much larger than expected.
Assuming all silicon material 0.5%X0 per layer, taking the MIP energy loss, will give only 0.18 MeV loss. And further more, I understand so far in the StiPxlDetectorBuilder, only the sensitive silicon volume is implemented which is only 16 microns thick or only 0.02%X0. The energy loss calculated from Sti seems to be much larger.
