Summary of previous Drell-Yan studies
These Drell-Yan studies have previously been made for the PHENIX decadal plan and forward detector upgrades. They are pretty generic for the most part, though.
Detector simulations were done with a fast parametrization of energy and momentum measurement. The latest version of the plots includes 2 billion QCD events. The main limitation is disk space, the simulation is analyzed on the fly (for a batch of 100 million events).
