Matching of hits in the preshower with clusters in the FMS

The transverse position of FMS and preshower is normalized to z=1 m.
Plotted is the distance of the closest possible position in preshower layers PS1 & PS2 with a cluster in the FMS.
Black is for all clusters in the FMS.
Red is for photonic clusters in the FMS.
Blue is for charged tracks (dashed for the full FMS acceptance, solid line with fiducial cut to remove regions that are not covered by the preshower).
