FHC transverse study summary

 

     I used the Zoffset for FHC is 850cm and 948cm.

    The Zoffset for FHC is 850 cm geometry.

    The Zoffset for FHC is 948 cm geometry.

    And I tested pion+, pion-, neutron and anti-neutron particle transverse profile in FHC. The energy of all particles is 60 GeV, and I digitized the energy deposit in FHC is 50 MeV per count. All the particles are shot from (0, 0, 0) (cm) to (124, ±5, 850) (cm) ( or (124, ±5, 948) (cm) ) which is in the center of the surface of FHC.

    1) Energy deposit in FMS and FHC.

     a) For FHC Zoffset is 850 cm,

     mean of the energy deposit in FMS is around 14~16 GeV,

     mean of the energy deposit in FHC is around 24~25 GeV,

     mean of the energy deposit in FMS+FHC is around 38.5~39.8GeV.

     The raw efficiency for FMS+FHC is around 66.7%.

     b) For FHC Zoffset is 948 cm,

     mean of the energy deposit in FMS is around 14~16 GeV,

     mean of the energy deposit in FHC is around 20~22 GeV,

     mean of the energy deposit in FMS+FHC is around 35~37.5GeV.

    2) Event by Event energy deposit in FHC.

     a) For FHC Zoffset is 850 cm,  for pion+ ( point to the center of tower 54).

        

     b) For FHC Zoffset is 948 cm, for pion+ ( point to the center of tower 54).

      a) maximum energy of one tower.

     The raw efficiency for FMS+FHC is around 62.5%.
