2) Lodging

The recommended hotel for the meeting is the Comfort Suites in Downtown Bethlehem.
The negotiated rate for us is $80 per night, please tell them that you are reserving your room for the STAR conference.
This hotel is within a very short walking distance (0.3 miles) of campus.

 The Holiday in a 10 minute drive from the main campus.  It is near the Mountaintop extension campus so there will be public transit.  Depending on how many people stay here, a shuttle can be arranged.

 The Knights Inn is a 15 minute drive from campus.  The 105 bus travels from the area by this hotel to Lehigh so transit is easy.  There are restaurants and other things around (this is by the Allentown Airport).  Depending on how many people stay here, a shuttle can be arranged.

3) Things To Know

Transportation:

1. The best airport to use for travel to Bethlehem is the Newark Airport (EWR).  This airport is 73 miles away from campus, and has a dedicated bus line that will drop you off a very short distance from the hotel and campus. Bus from EWR: http://www.transbridgelines.com/newark-airport-schedule.html. If you prefer to rent a car, please note that you will have to pay a toll.
2. Philadelphia airport (PHL) is 77 miles from Bethlehem, and will require a car rental.
3. JFK airport is 104 miles, which is drivable though it does require crossing New York City.  The bus also goes from JFK to Bethlehem, though the bus schedule from JFK is only twice a day. Bus from JFK: http://www.transbridgelines.com/jfk-airport-schedule.html
   
4. Allentown airport (ABE) is 14 miles from Bethlehem.  This airport is small and only has about 10 flights a day.
