1) QA work. Daniel sent to a few of us some ideas. He might want to circulate them
to the group (including Xin's comments) but we need a unified approach to this
   by all subsystems.

2) Run preparation. This in view of the join meeting with the S&C group next week.
What/where we need help, where we stand exactly in each subsystem for both
data taking and also integration into production. This is not to be done by the meeting
time but in the next few days before next Wednesday.

***NEW (Xin)*** For each subsytem the responsible person will need to write down, in a couple of slides or email,
the commission plan in terms of software/calibration.

     - DAQ reader, and offline data flow chain (many of them are under review, meaning not in standard lib yet, what is the plan to reconstruct data for the following studies)

     - DB tables and plan to populate the calibration/geometry parameters. We touched this before Christmas. I think it is the time to ask each subsystem to upload the survey tables and ideal geometry tables for simulation asap. Then need also plans for calibration tables, masking, ped/gain etc and timelines.

     - QA plan (first need to finalize the QA histograms for each subsytem, do we have responsible persons for each one? Then we need to have a plan involving many other volunteers to do the rotating QA checks through the commission and the physics run. Several students from Warsaw show the interest and I think they can help here with no much difficulty)

     - Alignment plan for the whole HFT including all subsystems. plan to use the cosmic ray data and plan to use the low luminosity beam data. (...in the works)

 Agenda

1) Commissioning [this meeting becomes one of 3 weekly meetings for commissioning and run ops coordination].
The other two happen over EVO on Mondays 4:00-5:30 and Wednesday 1:30-3:00.

2) Software [Reviews, moves to dev and other official places, Breaks (inevitable)]. Oral report or a couple of
slides to summarize the many activities would be fine. New SSD/IST pages are up [very nice]; linked from
subsystem pages.

We broke DEV for a couple of days. This is a NO NO. It raises huge flags and a flood of complaints.
The BEST practice is to checkout a fresh copy from CVS and test the code before moving it to the red zone.
In case of accidents we should react immediately and go back to a working version

Jerome asked me whether we NEED to give karma to more people than in the list below:

> avail |margetis,bouchet,qiuh,smirnovd |StRoot/StPxlDbMaker
> avail |margetis,bouchet,qiuh,smirnovd |StRoot/StPxlSimMaker
> avail |margetis,bouchet,qiuh,smirnovd |StRoot/StPxlUtil

He also asked me for bi-weekly updates on activities in the S&C meeting. The presenter should be the
most relevant one with the help [slides, corrections] from the rest.

3) Simulation issues [cosmics]  and AOB

 Agenda

1) Cosmic run/commissioning updates

2) There was a close-interaction meeting of few people with the S&C group
yesterday at BNL. Very useful. Minutes are here:
https://drupal.star.bnl.gov/STAR/event/2014/02/06/hft-software-coordination-meeting

We will touch upon some action items noted there.

3) Gene is coordinating the calibration requests. His summary page is here:
https://drupal.star.bnl.gov/STAR/comp/calib/prepRunXIV

4) We have two talks at the Collab. meeting. One on HFT Software  by me [last time we talk
about it probably in these generic terms as the project concludes] and one on commissioning
by Flemming[?]. We might also want to get together at BNL...Wednesday' commissioning meeting
might be a possible time.

Asymmetry in STAR magnetic field due to adding to back of West Pole Tip extra magnetic material

Wuzheng Meng <meng@bnl.gov> made 2D calculations of STAR magnetic field for 4 different sets of extra magnetic material on back of West Pole Tip (dZ = 0, 5, 10 and 15 cm).
