1) Possible merging of JetCorr and HF PWGs
Conclusions: generally positive feedback from PWG members so far. Conveners are trying to gather more comments from active members who were not able to join this week's PWG meetings. If no strong objections raised, we will proceed with the merging in the near future.
2) Discussion on forward detector triggering in Au+Au
Conclusions: most of PWGs are fine with reading out forward detectors without triggering on them in Au+Au running. Couple of ideas on triggering were raised, and conveners will follow up with the proponents.
3) Embedding request for Run19 14.6 GeV (intended for sQM)
4) Collect preliminary figures (ARXIV)
Conclusions: it turned out that it is quite difficult, if not impossible, to upgrade Drupal for STAR given the large volume of contents accumulated in the past 20+ years. Therefore, a central repository for preliminary figures on Drupal is unlikely. We will continue the following practice: i) for any new preliminary results, PA should create a Drupal blog page to host the preliminary figures (in pdf format) and preliminary request slides; ii) conveners collect links to these Drupal pages and put them in a central place (ARXIV)

2) Physics analyses that need eTOF critically in 2023+25
Conclusions:
- Will check with the eTOF group to see if there is any potential occupancy issue in central Au+Au collisions. Conveners will also bring up this topic for discussion in next week's PWG meeting.
- Suggestion: would be good to produce a small sample of MB Au+Au data shortly after the run ends in 2023 to study eTOF and forward upgrade performance, providing critical inputs for Run25 BUR

- PWGs should also organize their own rehearsals before the collaboration-wide rehearsal.
- Speaker selection will be carried out independent of whether candidates plan to go to QM in person or not. Once selected, it is up to the speaker to decide whether he/she will go in person. Management does not have any preference or policy.
2) QM embedding needs (Production priority)
3) Recent progresses for BES-II embeddings (Xianglei's slides: 20220105, 20220127)
- Special discussion on 01/27: minutes
- Main issues resolved/mitigated. Hope to start embedding production in a week.
Conclusions: people are encouraged to go through the slides and minutes, and report back if they have any concerns of moving forward with the BES-II embedding.
4) Upcoming collaboration meeting (Meeting page)
- Junior's Day: Feb. 14
- Parallel session: Feb. 15 - 18
- Plenary session: Feb. 21 - 25
- Council meeting: Feb. 22
- Management-convener meeting: Feb. 24 (1:30-3:00, tentative)
- Topical presentations: any topics you would recommend to be presented during the collaboration meeting? (Likely a few slots)
5) Analysis info
- Following track cuts (NHitsFit>=15, NHItsFit/NHitsPoss>=0.52) are applied during BTof matching. If one uses BTof matched tracks, these cuts are implicitly applied.
Conclusions: all analyzers should be aware of these implicit cuts. Since these cuts are applied during data reconstruction, any changes to them require reproduction of PicoDst.
6) WWND 2022 abstracts
- Please comment on and approve the proposed abstracts at earliest convenience
- 21 parallel talks + 1 plenary talk
- Please comment on and approve merged abstracts promptly. Need to send back to organizers by Feb. 5th

- Run 12 pp st_physics - ongoing, expected to finish over the weekend
- Run 18 Isobar st_hf - ongoing
- Data production: preparing for Run19 200 GeV Au+Au
- dE/dx calibration ready (as good as other BES-II data set); Bichsel predictions shifted for heavier particles
- bTOF issues with T0, expected to finish over the weekend
- eTOF will not be included
- first pass to use the AuAu vertex finder; users will analyze the data to see if a second pass for UPC events is needed
- MuDst->PicoDst conversion:
- Embedding
- 20214101 - JetCorr - Run14 AuAu 200 GeV - Pythia 8 HF jet - 6M done
- 20214201-06 - LFSUPC - Run19 AuAu 19.6 GeV - pi/k/p - Done

2) STAR CPU share on RCF ~ 17k nodes
- group_star.cas 5500 - users
- group_star.crs 10665 - production
- group_star.embed 1000 - embedding
- For the past 7 days, STAR has taken the 17.1k slots
Conclusions: suggest to take the following measures until April 4th
- If possible, move all embedding jobs to Cori
- Pause data production after producing Run 18 Isobar st_hf and Run19 200 GeV Au+Au data
3) QM
- Pre-QM meeting: agenda
- Poster: presented online only. Recommended format is a collection of up to 5 slides.
Conclusions: if presenters prefer a one-page poster instead of a 5-slide presentation, that is also fine. Just need to keep in mind that all the posters will be presented online.
4) PWG needs for FCS trigger in Au+Au running (Raghav)
- What triggers need to be prepared, what other running conditions of the detectors are needed, etc.
- A short presentation during forward upgrade meeting on Tuesday March 22nd at 8:30 am
Conclusions:
- Two questions for PWGs to answer: i) if FCS triggers are needed for Au+Au running; ii) if mid-rapidity detectors need to be read out for FCS triggers
- PWGs are encouraged to send in their inputs before hand
- Will confirm with the forward upgrade team to see if they are expecting 1 or multiple presentations
- Keep in mind that the first day of QM rehearsal starts on Mar. 22nd at 9:00 am
5) Rapidity dependence of dE/dx for Isobar dataConclusions:
- Two questions for PWGs to answer: i) if FCS triggers are needed for Au+Au running; ii) if mid-rapidity detectors need to be read out for FCS triggers
- PWGs are encouraged to send in their inputs before hand
- Will confirm with the forward upgrade team to see if they are expecting 1 or multiple presentations
- Keep in mind that the first day of QM rehearsal starts on Mar. 22nd at 9:00 am
- Pion: slide 7 of SLIDES
- Electron: slide 8 of SLIDES
Conclusions: analyzers should pay attention to the rapidity dependence of dE/dx, and probably apply rapidity dependent cuts or corrections to improve resolution.
6) New StRefMultCorr maintainer
Conclusions: Rongrong will follow up with Dan Cebra on possible candidates.
7) Please comment on and approve abstracts/slides/proceedings in time
- sQM abstracts: due Mach 15th
- Moriond starts on March 19th

1) Latest news on data production
- Analyzers should look through the produced embedding samples and report back if they found issues or statistics is insufficient
- Will consult production team about the time needed for Run17 and Run12 st_physics MuDst->PicoDst conversion, and decide whether it makes sense to reverse the priority
2) Upcoming collaboration meeting (Meeting page)
- Junior's Day: Feb. 14
- Parallel session: Feb. 15 - 18

- Plenary session: March 22nd - April 1st, 9 am - 12 pm BNL time, 3 rehearsals per day
- PWG rehearsal: up to each PWG to organize; could be the week before or in the afternoons of the plenary session
Conclusions: in rare cases, multiple presenters are allowed for a poster as per our publication policy, which can be justified if it is needed for people to attend the conference.
4) Input for 2023+25 running strategy
- How can we achieve our MB (20B) and luminosity (62 nb^-1) goals? Do we run the two programs separately or concurrently?
