Slides for Spectra Meeting 06/05/2008

Few slides I wanna show at Spectra Meeting.

MC pT spectra after various cuts

There was some concern about the effectiveness of the proposed cuts at different cluster energies, so here are plots showing exactly that.

Lorentz effect on charged tracks

For this study, I generated 1000 pions +/- per event with  :

Some useful scripts

Here I will collect some scripts I wrote while playing with drupal. Most of them were written to automize moving the contant from old STAR db to drupal.

Statistical Errors for data and simulation for 2006 dijet cross section

For both data and simulation, I calculated the distribution of cos(theta*), 1/2(eta3 + eta4), and invariant mass. The simulation jets were appropriately weighted.

Silicon hits

We put the silicon hits information for analysis code.

cuts used :

nHitsFit >20

|eta|<1.0

dcaGlobal <1.5

nFit/nPoss >0.52

Same cuts, bigger samples!

I've finished generating 500k piminus events, 50k pizeros, and 50k single photons (all sitting in magic_single_particle with the earlier samples), and have put them through the same cuts

Effect of Momentum Resolution on Electron Gains

The momentum resolution from the TPC NIM Paper is 2% + 1.5% * pt.

RHIC/AGS Workshop Talk

I am giving a talk at the RHIC/AGS User's Meeting, in the spin workshop.  Three versions of the talk are attached.
