As of 4 Feb 2018, we do not know how to turn on an individual FEE channel. Tonko has hacked up a way for us to set Vbias and Vped for *all* FEEs.

The EPD FEE box on the NW corner of STAR has been filled. In my opinion, it has a real beauty and serious economy of space. The fibers have room to gently bend, and there is no strain

Review nearly done... code in reasonable shape before collaboration meeting, after geometry and utility methods decoupled from data objects.

Request Type Standard Embedding request (particle in real events)
Description This request is the same as a previous request - this request is simply to add 1M more events.
The previous request is here:
https://drupal.star.bnl.gov/STAR/starsimrequests/2017/jul/20/lambda-auau-200gev-run-11-0-80
Run numbers to use for this request are listed below.
................................................................................................................................................................
AntiLambda in Au+Au 200GeV run-11 0-80%
Original request (followed below by additional information):
Particle: Lambda (& Lambda_bar)
Au+Au@200GeV
Run11
production: P11id
Trigger Setup: AuAu200_production_2011
minimum bias
Trigger Id: 350003, 350013, 350023, 350033, 350043
0.2 GeV < pT < 5.0 GeV (flat)
|y_lambda| < 0.5
0 < phi < 2pi
V_z < 30cm, V_r < 2cm, V_z - V_z(VPD) < 3cm
Centrality Defn: RefMult3
1 lambda per event
500K events
Additional Information:
1. Centrality from 80-100% is not needed. 0-5% to 70-80% is good (9 bins).
But if you think still this is too much, at least I need the most two central bins (0-5% & 5 -10%).
Boundaries :
refmult[9] = {10,22,43,76,125,193,281,396,466}
refmult3[9] = {16,34,67,120,196,301,440,618,725}
2. How about 5% of refmult embedded particles per event?
3. Run numbers (previous request):
[12133002 - 12133061] - good
[12129011 - 12129029] - good
[12127002 - 12127051] - good
...Run numbers (present request) :
12132009,
12134006,
12135012,
12136007,
12167046,
12170058,
12171015
4. Mag Field : RFF
5. I’m currently doing my analysis in the range of 0.2 GeV/c < pT < 2.0 GeV/c. But, Since Xianglei’s trees has the option of going up to 5GeV, I thought it would be an advantage to have a wide range incase if I happen to re-do the analysis in higher pT bin (2.0 < pT < 5.0). However, If it is too much open, then go for 0.2 GeV/c < pT < 2.0 GeV/c.

Request Type Standard Embedding request (particle in real events)
Description This is the 4th of 4 requests.
This is needed to support a QM talk
Details here:
https://drupal.star.bnl.gov/STAR/system/files/tnonaka_embedding_request_summary.pdf
This request is described on page 8 of this pdf.
Note it is a series of three 1M event embeddings runs. In this case, the number of embedded protons and
antiprotons are to be obtained from sampling from provided histograms. Number of events
needed is 1M for 0-5%, 1M for 5-10%, and 1M for 10-15% centrality based on refmult3.
additional details (bad run list, pt slope, etc) may be found in files on the rcf
with paths provided by the pdf linked to above
Note 1M events for each of these three centralities is larger than the number of
real events available. Real events will be repeated. Please try to use as many
real events as possible to limit reuse.
