A few notes:

  • Additional st_physics were produced (we are ahead). Enjoy!
  • For now, there has been no overlaps between P10ij and P10ik
  • HOWEVER, the re-reproduction of the st_ht, as noted in this post, will cause a temporary overlap for this stream. Be careful of your Catalog query.
  • Nearly all data from both P10ij and P10ik are on distributed disks - please use it there as NFS remains overloaded.

 

Production event rate and post-analysis 

 

Problem with HPSS persists and affecting production & DataCarousel. Drives are deffective and need frequent reboots.

 

Production plan going forward

The previous production plans were summarized Run plan for Year 10 data processing and were discussed with the PWGC.

The next wave of productions were flagged as follows:

  • Re-do the st_ht streams (early processing without the BSMDe fix)
  • Finish the 200 GeV Au+Au first  (any data, stream or not, remaining)
  • Finish any remaining 39 GeV
  • Finish with the 62 GeV samples last

Notes:

  • We will continue to process the events in a time ordered runNumber list - this has showed to scale (for now) up to 80/20 of st_physics/streams (scroll down to Year 10, 11W02 production status after reading the text from that blog).
     
  • 62 GeV calibrations are not ready
  • We have missed the window of opportunity to continue the 200 GeV production with a fix for the h+/h-
    • Work underway to resolve this matter but nothing ready
    • Will need to be considered as pass 2 along with previous year's re-production
