Concerning the High Mass Tail on the Pion Peak
At the PWG meeting a few weeks ago, people expressed concerns about the high-mass tail from the pion peak that, for higher PT bins, is underestimated by the pion peak simulation.

FHC pythia mini-bias simulation for Lambda
I use the pythia mini-bias codes to study to look for the lambda decay products energy deposit in FHC with Lambda->n+pi0.
SMD Problems at the sector boundary
Abstract: Looks like there's yet another bug in the old EEMC geometry (which persists in my development version 5.21). Throwing geantinos an phi = 105 degrees, we should be probing the boundary between two sectors (sectors 11 and 12 if I've got it right). We expect to see two SMD planes. We don't see two. Worse, we don't see three (the only other valid possibility). We see one plane.

Comparison with Other Results
Below you will find comparisons of the Run 6 cross section with recent Phenix results and the STAR Run 5 final result. The lower panel is the statistical error on the Run 6 points.

Rough cut of EEMC SMD spacer geometry
The SMD spacer is added to the EEMC geometry, as well as material in the front and back of each SMD plane.
